Sorry for your loss. I can't help with why these things happen, it has to be natures way of dealing with things that we know nothing about. It is said that all things happen for a reason so we must believe that and move on.....

Yes, you are right.

But I feel really bad because she was suffering for so many days, even before dying it was in agony, no living creature spills blood from its mouth without being in huge pain.

And i feel really bad because of this.
