Just one note. Chicken wire is not predator proof. I'd change that.

There are cats, dogs, hawks, snakes, falcons, owls, rats, mice, weasels, squirrels, cougars, lynx, bobcats, raccoons, skunks, fisher, marten, foxes, coyotes, wolves, bears, badgers, and so on.
Foxes and coons are common in cities or rural areas.
