Thank you for telling me to get that picture. I went to her shed, and heard her gasping. I looked in the shed just in time to see her lay an egg. Im so relieved.

Good question! Yes, stick a finger in. You don't have to go far, maybe 1/2 to 1 inch.

Thank you! I will keep an eye on her. She is a Rhode Island Red, non heritage so she lays a lot of eggs. Thank you SO much for helping me.
