A few weeks ago I posted this Jubilee Orpington, everyone thought it was a roo for sure, but now I’m wondering if it’s a pullet that has developed quickly.

Do I need to wait longer for hackles and saddle feathers? There are none growing in yet, and i poked around. It does have a red comb and wattles. Anyway, it’s a big, round, beautiful bird. And yeah i know it has some stray feathers on the legs which Orpingtons aren’t supposed to have. I Love this chicken. Weigh in!

I think it has to be a cockerel with that much comb and wattle development at 12 weeks. Lack of male specific feathers doesn't mean much since they can grow those any time after 12 weeks or so, and Orps can be slow developers.
Aww man! 😅

Male. Can you part the feathers on its lower back and get pics?
The photos below are from over a week ago. I checked again today and nothing screams sharp and pointy. Maybe I need to wait a bit longer
