I have a 2 yr old buff orington that we have had about 3 months. To my knowledge she has not laid any eggs since we had her. I got a rooster a month ago with a few more hens. Now all my hens are laying except Buffy. She has been sick for a few weeks. She has been getting weak and slowing down quite a bit. She is still eating and is alert, but does not have the energy she used to. I thought she had diahrrea for two weeks. her back side has been green and yuck, stinking the last couple days. I was told to give her tetramycin which I started a week ago. She got better for a couple days then back to weak. this morning she would not get out of the coup. I picked her up and she did not want to move. I brought her in the house tonight and gave her a warm bath. I noticed the poop was matted in her feathers and seemed to have a lot of rocks, oyster shell something. her belly seemed squishy. i was very suprised at how much weight she has lost, hardly any meat on her keel. I thought she might be egg bound but could not feel anything hard in her belly when I manipulated her. I have her in the house tonight, My wife has fed her some bread and a little yogurt and some pedialite.
I would appreciate any help. I have read many of the articles including the ones about internal lying. I pray this is not what is going on.
