I had no idea I had one that thin. There's definitely something to be said for routine handling of your birds, 'cause once they get that thin, they don't usually recover, even if their disease is treatable.

Hey Kathy... So sorry about your hen.

Especially cause you were sooo helpful to me last Thursday. I've be staying away from this site for a few days because I was so obsessing about my buff and her problem. She, by the way, seems to be fine now and other than massaging her crop a few times, feeding her scrambled eggs with watered down chicken feed and watching her and how she was acting, I didn't really do anything...

Keep the faith girl...I still think you're a rocket scientist when it comes to poultry!!! Helen

Good idea! With her feathers all plucked it will be easy to see the bright red tube. She's still in the fridge, maybe tomorrow, lol.
