What are the pixel dimensions? The maximum size is based on a limit of 2000 pixels by 2000 pixels and 10 MB.

I upload 6000x4000 pictures all the time. Then the software resizes them to ~2000x1500

I resize before uploading because I want to be the one in control of how the image will look. Not all resizing software is equal. I also am uploading much smaller files which makes a difference on how quickly they load for the viewers.

There are times when BYC gags on files with lower compression ratios and sometimes they gag on an image that is fine for no apparent reason and uploading it a second later works.

Ya, we should handle big files just fine. If not, I'd try again, and if still an issue, resize the photo locally and try to upload.

We get hundreds (if not more) images uploaded daily, so if it's a system-wide problem I'm thinking we'd see more reports.

That said, we'll keep an eye out if the problem keeps persisting.

jpg, Firefox... I've been uploading for a long time using the same browser and photo size and type.

When i'm on my phone I can't upload an image either, it recently started. No problem on the laptop.

I strictly use my desktop PC to browse BYC, and have tried both Windoze and Linux PC's.
