We haven't been able to duplicate it, and we're not seeing other reports of the same problem. It's possible people just aren't reporting it.

If anybody else is having this issue, please post your browser / version here, and if it persists, we will ask you to email our support with a copy of the pic to test.

Firefox 68 on Android.... On this phone.
Later tonight I'll give it a go from the desktop & phone again .... Fair enough?

Try opening it in paint and save it as a png. Don't resize it, just save it as a different file type.

A variation on this theme is how I get about 1/3 improvement over the last week plus.

Execution timeout has been increased from 60 seconds to 300 seconds initially. Please see how it goes with this new value.

What is the time out setting for uploading photos to BYC?

It could be a general slow down on the net that is making the time out happen for me and other folks. Of course those of you with high speed connections would not see any problem from your end if it is a forum time out.

Amen! With my home DSL peak at 3.5MB/s in ideal conditions.... Usual can wildly fluctuate from 1.0-3.2MB/s download and a mindwarping 0.512 MB/s UPload speed at peak; usually 0.3-0.48 MB/s typical fun here....
As for wifi/digital when on phone "out n about" I'm stuck in Google Fi Telecom system hell for almost 2 years now. We will be leaving it soon ...not soon enough for me. And we have ALWAYS had issue with sending images to each other or whomever in SMS/text messages.....

BUT, that is not specific to BYC issue.... As I can go to the FTE (f350 diesel) or the tractor forums and it's still okay to send them pics.... Sometimes they timeout as usual with Google Fi.

Gee, that might of been TMI or distracting data in that post.sorry folks.

Yup, that's probably the issue. Server was timing out on a long upload.

Please test now that we've increased the timeout.

Hmmmmm. So here's my current data as well....

0.2xx upload speed.... Yummy in the tummy, let me tell ya....



FYI, that upload was still delayed but, it actually didn't do anything wierd like time out.

Still timing out here but no where near 300 seconds. Just tested with a 370 Kb file and it timed out in 14 seconds. Second attempt it was at 100% at 20 seconds then sat there to 42 seconds the the upload worked.
