I have a rooster who has had Respiratory issues for the last two weeks and had been crowing weirdly beforehand and I wasn't sure why but probably should have caught it sooner... anyways ... I treated him with the antibiotics But not sure if the dose was enough. It was left over from our last hen who died right after seeing our avian vet. But he is An an hour and a half away and for some chickens its just to stressful of a trip so they have passed away... like the last hen. So this rooster I am afraid to take. Anyways
He isn't open mouth breathing all the time. He will close his beak and then ever so often open for a breath then close and reopen... he also has lost weight ore recently. He was top rooster and now he isn't ... he still seems to be eating but loosing weight still ... so I started with eggs and meal worms to help combat his weight loss ... his comb isn't as bright red as it should be ... anyways I will post a pic or video tomorrow If i can but was wanting to start his meds ...
So I purchased Tylan 50 and panacur goat wormer to give him. At 1/2 cc tylan for 7-10 days and 2ccs goat worm a day for 5 days for gapeworm just in case ...
Can I give these at the same time or is the fear of interaction with the 2 medications. ?
And I have never seen gapeworm ... is there a length of time they would have it before it could kill him ?
Thanks everyone If u need anymore info pls let me know
