Hi there,
I have 8 eggs on lockdown (temp 99.5 humidity 65%) they’re just entering day 21. These are shipped eggs with wonky air cells so I’ve been following instructions to incubate them upright. I woke up this morning to find one egg had a pip but the pip is just barely above the cut down egg carton. I’ve never incubated upright and I can’t easily find suggestions on what to do now... should I let the chick try to hatch like that or should I lay the egg down? I’m not sure how long it has been upside down and am worried it may have already drown or something. Thank you!

also: this is a silkie chick if it makes a difference! I don’t believe the membrane is broken, only the shell at this point though I can’t see very well. I don’t hear any peeping or anything.
