How is it NOT the sellers responsibility?
Correct packaging is common sense and good business.
If the seller hadnt been so lazy or cheap the incubator would be in the condition it was sold as.
When I ship anything(and I do a lot of shipping) I make sure it is safely packaged for the trip.
That means a correct size box, padding and securely closing it. I go above and beyond what USPS standards are to make sure that the item/product arrives to the buyer safely and in the condition it was paid for.
UPS has every right to deny the claim based on the way it was packaged.
Myself. I would try and fix the incubator as much as possible. Keep the paypal/ebay claim open and tell the seller to stuff it if they want the incubator back. Unless she is willing to pay for the shipping AND how much it would cost you to have it CORRECTLY packaged.
