UPS Card Fraud?

I got three emails on Monday from one of my former students who is a FB friend saying she was mugged in London and needed me to wire $2450 so she could pay her hotel bill and get home. Fortunately I know this gal as well as her family fairly well so ignored it but these scams are out there. BTW when I contacted her and found out she was home I told her she needed to reimburse me the $2450.
