UPSTATE NY chickenstock OCT 3rd Sunday!! -The aftermath and hatching

The split is soooo chubby. She is almost as chubby as the BLRW is.

I have a camp chair sitting next to the brooder, so that I can sit and watch them. It is so calming after a day at work. I couldn't wait to get home today and get them out of the bator so that I could play with them.

MUGGS What color Silkies do you want? I don't think we got any blacks, pretty sure they are blue and splash. We have 2 whites, also. We are keeping the split (too precious to give up until we know the gender)

acid_chipmunk...I need to go back and edit my earlier post...it looks like my chicken list was made for you. That's what I get for typing tired.
I'm getting worse and worse...I really don't have a preference over any of the silkies. I would take both of the white and at least 1 blue...I am even open to splash! Out of my 9 silkies, I don't have a roo! So I'm hoping for a white roo and a blue roo...I'll cross my fingers after the swap. Let me know how many you may have...I don't want to take them all if you only have a few.

Sonew...they are perfect for me.

ok-Ill reserve them for you:)

Jeremy and I will be bringing some Silkies from Bob, too. B/B/S variety, straight run, as they were just hatched yesterday. (unless someone can tell what they are at a month old)

Also, we will have Mille Fleur d'Uccles, and maybe some Polish chicks.
We will be bringing a WC Chocolate roo, but only if someone wants him. He is about 6-8 months old. Have to ask Gretchen for a better age guess.

Yes! Put me down for silkies! PM me on what they are going for.

I may need to come back to edit pictures in...(Edited to add...)

This is what I'm bringing to the swap: PM me if anyone is interested...

2 sets of breeding trios of Silver Ameraucanas
1 Breeding pair (possibly trio) of Black Jersey Giants
1 Buff Ameraucana roo (I'm still debating on bringing all four 2 hens/2 roos)
1 Blue Copper Marans roo (going to chicken stalker)
1 bantam Buff Cochin roo...though he may be donated to the turkey fryer...he's a pisser! (Napolean complex!!!)
Let me know if you want hatching eggs...(Lav Ameraucana, Wheaten Ameraucana, Split lav (if we need more), Black Ameraucana, BCM/BlueCM, Welsummer, Salmon Faverolles)

oooohhh boy I may come home with more chickens than I thought. How about those buff ameraucanas...you might talk me into them if I see some pics. oohh and the lav ameraucana boys...I'd love to see some pics of them also..seriously thinking of getting one of those also. How old are they?

Sooooooo here's the deal. I brought little yellow inside tonight. Terribly cute. She spent half the evening laying on my chest watching "Never Been Kissed" and is now sleeping on a fleece blanket in a box. She is definately going to have to be a winter house chicken. I have NO doubt... so I was thinking about a friend? One that will more or less stay small... I can get one young to be her buddy? Like maybe a... baby silkie

I love, love, love my lavs! The roo I took a pic of isn't "warm and fuzzy", but it is my fault because I haven't worked with him as much as I should have. He is 6 months...I have a younger brood that are my shadows...worse than my Bichon Frise. I have to take 2" steps for fear I will squash one. They are almost 3 months. I am hoping to put my lav in with the lav hens this month (and possibly with the black ameraucana hens)... I'll have hatching eggs available at the swap.

My daughter with her lav "babies"...Bob and Kevin (only one of which is a boy)

Featherz, just so ya know, there will be an egg auction that many people will be donating to. We are gonna donate Mille Fleur d'Uccles to it, and I know a few others have chimed in with donations for that.
