URGENT DYING CHICKEN PLEASE HELP

DE does help with mites and lice. It dehydrates them. It's not a cure really, it's more of a prevention because it takes a while to work.

Ok the bug i saw was kinda reddish colored and clear-looking.. maybe it was a mite?
I want proof for the Use of DE? Everyone I know says it's useless against insects. Thinking about getting some, gathering a bunch of different bugs, & recording the results. Not trying to be rude, or anything, I just don't believe in it effectiveness against pests.

Yes, red mites are what you are describing. I think they're also know as Northern Fowl Mites. I never experienced these buggers, only lice, & leg mites are abit of an annoyance in my area.

It has definitely worked for me! I had a rooster with mites and i used the DE to get rid of them. Within three days of applying the DE they were gone.

Ok

Sounds like red mites, which a blood sucking, & can render a bird almost bloodless, or extremely anaemic.
Both mites and lice can kill a bird.
At this point it really makes zero difference what type of bug it is The bugs just need to be killed before they kill more birds.

Which didn't treat or rid anything...as you can see by the bugs currently killing your bird.
Yes but that was a while back. This bird came from a lady i know and she must have had the bugs before she came.
Never assume you know until you have all the facts btw

I never had a bird die from lice, & lice are an issue in my flocks.

Bantam coop, & my mixed flock coop have it worse then my Standard coop for some reason. They're getting retreated ones their run dries.
