Think alot of info get passed around ,like lock down, because of the cheaper incubator. Another thing i see post infor on temp, which with still air or forced air is not the same.

I don't think a broody hen can change the temperature or humidity and I have never seen one go to lock down mode, I maybe wrong but I think hens may turn their eggs everyday til they hatch. I'm not trying to be smart here just watching some hens I have sitting right now. I may get a thermometer and hygrometer stick it under one and keep records to see what happens.

My egg is in a Brinsea ECO 20. I think the pip is getting bigger. It has been almost 24 hours.
Hopefully I will see some more progress by morning.

Your post came at a great time for me! I've never tried hatching peafowl before and have been hand turning them in a still air styrofoam incubator. I heard tapping today, 3 days before 'lockdown', and wasn't sure if I should keep turning them. What I'm understanding is as long as no one has pipped and the temp and humidity stay stable, I should keep turning.

I have raised chickens, turkeys, guineas, and some ducks, but these will be my first peafowl!
