URGENT Roo is lethargic, can’t walk

Chicken slings are good for chickens with a disability, to get them up and in front of a small water and food bowl. But it sounds like he needs you to water and feed him often. Here is a good link for slings, and the posts 5, 11, and 12 are helpful:

Thank you so much! You have been so helpful throughout this whole ordeal.

I would love your opinion on if/when to euthanize. I’m struggling with the thought of giving up on him, but I also worry that continuing to help him drink is only delaying the inevitable. He keeps making progress and then relapsing. When he’s up I feel glad I’m still trying to help. But when he’s down I feel awful and that I should have ended this already. I don’t know what to do 😭

Edit to add: I guess I’m saying I’m not sure how to tell if I’m actually helping to nurse him back to health, or if I’m just further drawing out a slow death.

A lot depends on how much time you have to devote to taking care of him, if you are busy with school, work, or small kids. It would be great to know immediately what was wrong, but the best way to find out is after death with a necropsy vest done by your state vet. If you feel like he is ever suffering, then I would comsider putting him down, and contacting your state vet preferably on M-F. Keep his body cold, but not frozen if you want a necropsy. So sorry.

Although it may be too late now, you could have listened to my advice!
You cant harm him!
But what do I know about poultry farming, when I've only been farming for about thirty years...
I actually did, I have been giving him high dose B vitamins with every drinking session. I know any extra will continue to just pass through. They seemed to be helping at first but now he seems to be back to the way he was before- unable to stand or hold himself upright. He is also refusing to drink so he’s getting less and less. I’m on my way to find something better to tube him with, as what I have just seems too short and I’m worried I’ll make him sicker or hurt him trying to make it work.

I just tubed 20ml of electrolytes mixed with vitamins. It took me a long time to check and check that I was in the right place and I still feel nervous that I messed it up. But he’s not choking or gasping and I can feel the liquid in his little crop so hopefully I did ok

I actually did....
Although it's probably too late now, try my advice!
Cut one bulb of garlic into smaller pieces and shove it down his throat.
If he does not swallow, help him by pushing the garlic down the esophagus (throat) from the outside with your finger
Just one bulb, because he's a little rooster!
Just try it and good luck with it!

Should I add ACV as well? I could make a purée and tube it.
