So happy for you all and very relieved.

I am so happy! Sorry for the blurry pics, we are in the car so I'm shaking a bit.

Here is a better pic of her (we were stopped and she crawled up front to look out the window so I took a quick picture :p)

Well, I am so overcome with gratitude, I forgot to thank you especially for giving us the details of the recommended treatment for this situation. I hope others find this thread and get help from it.

Let me see if I can sneak in an emoticon.

YAY!!!!!!!!! SO HAPPY FOR ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a diagnosis? Did I miss reading exactly what was wrong with her.

You are a great Mom to Quackers. I am really happy for this great ending!!!!!

From the treatment, and her response to it, it looks like Quackers had an internal infection, and was likely calcium depleted. I am not sure that one always comes before the other. I pray that our understanding of egg yolk peritonitis expands so we can save more ducks. Early detection would be a great blessing. Something we could test from a fecal sample, maybe.

Anyway, I am still rejoicing about this. Pet Duck wasn't the only one losing sleep.

Thanks again guys, she is still feeling good and is getting better. She played in the rain this morning and got another shot.
