Used egg cartons.....?

I don't know about Canada, but here, you can't say the eggs are "fresh" unless they are also grade A, you can't have any grading on the carton unless the eggs ARE graded, and you can't re-use the cartons but you can sell a carton and eggs separately, so my plan was to sell eggs at X price, and cartons at Y price and the first time they had to pay X+Y for the eggs, but if they bring the carton back, then they only have to pay X because they are only buying eggs not a carton.

Kind of like you cant sell a processed bird to someone unless you are a USDA processing facility but you can sell a live bird and give a free processing service.

Well, then you have experience with them.
I like them, but I know some do not. I like the idea of a returnable, refillable carton, is all. I Think that the paper cartons will also have to be an option, since that is what people are used to. Farmers Market shoppers are a little better, not a lot though! Most do not bring their own shopping bags. A lot are tourists, do not want a returnable item with a deposit.

I know some stamp the date on the egg carton, "Laid on Oct 25, 2017", in order to get around this problem. They don't use the word "Fresh".

I am hoping to sell to the public. It is illegal to sell uninspected eggs to restaurants and businesses here.
I am getting a quote from China at the moment, The egg cartons I want are pulp, 12 egg cartons.

Please help, my mind is not working.
2000 egg cartons are at maximum 3 cents each. I keep figuring out that would cost $600, but that is "only" $400 less than Alberta's 50 cent cartons. Do they cost $60 for 2,000?
Do they have Tractor Supply Company stores up there? They sell cartons.

Okay, here's the message from Mr. China. :D

"Hello Caleb,

As you know, 12 egg chicken egg carton is made from paper. In shipping, carton gets damaged easily, so we ship them on pallets. We put 32,400 egg cartons on each pallet. Is that number okay for you?

Are you buyer or collecter?"

They said they could sell a minimun of 2,000, but apparently the minimum is 32,400...?

Anyway, I guess I'll be buying 50 cent cartons from Canada..... :D

So Sad! You got my hopes up! That makes the .30 cartons a better buy. You could go into the egg-carton resale business with that many!
