Hi guys!
I'm getting my first chance to experience hatching eggs and have a few questions..
We have seven girls and our one silkie went super broody. We were gifted 7 hatching eggs, and I put them under her about a week ago. She's doing great, but I am thinking about moving her from the coop to our house closer the hatc date.
1. Would this be ok? I was going to move her and the nest at night to lessen confusion and stress, but don't want to throw off her broody streak at the very end.
2. Should I use a heat lamp inside or let mama do all the work?

The reason I want to move her is 1. constant close access to baby chicks, duh😁. 2. She is our only bantam hen in the flock and I'm afraid the big girls will pick on her and the babies. I plan on constructing a little broody pen in our run after the hatch as well.
Any advice? My goal is the friendliest (and healthiest) chicks possible.

I don't think you should move her but try to put a fence or something to give her space for protection and let mama do all the work because she could get too hot and she is already creating a lot of heat.
