In the Brooder
Hello! Back in August, we moved to a 10-acre farm in northern Virginia. The farm has a well-built, 4-stall, center aisle horse barn (w/no plans to board horses). Question: would one of the stalls make a good place to raise/house 6-12 turkeys? Each stall is 12’ x 12’, stone dust floor, and door access to the outside (pics included)
The area surrounding the barn is wire fenced, but only 4 feet high and with a few holes. I’ve already built a chicken coop/run which is now occupied with 15 laying hens and have 100 meat birds in a brooder. I want to raise a few meat turkeys and would like to see if the barn stall concept would work. Any suggestions and advice are greatly appreciated.
