Just saw this article -- love it! Something to do with my eggshells other than straight to compost... And so cute! What a great easter present this could be for someone, with eggshells dyed in natural or foodsafe dye... http://www.instructables.com/id/Eggshell_Seed_Starters

I caught a simular article in a mag, think it was Home and Garden. Real neat idea. The artical I read showed them in house pots with the shells used even after as a decoration.

this works very well, as does using paper egg cartons to start seeds.

Make sure you remove the bottom of the shell/carton before transplanting.
