USPS manages to loose 30+ Quail eggs!!

they once sent me home with a box of chicks that werent even mine...i just drove them over to the address on the box and made a 12 year old boys day....

I question "lost".

We learned that to get a greeting card to our son living in Boston, we had to disguise it in a larger business envelope or it would get "lost". This was no matter where we mailed it FROM. . . . .

One of my best friends did millwright work. She and her crew worked a lot in post offices all over the USA. She tells stories of no longer used sorting track with packages so covered in dust you couldn't read the addresses on them. Of letters, etc under things and never pulled out to get sent where they belong. True these are huge sorting places but doesn't someone get down and clean out the dust bunnies and find all this stuff.

My post office lost my chicks. They were delivered to my post office and before I could get them they were loaded on an outgoing truck. They got to make another long ride while I called along the pick up route trying to head them off. I drove from Nashville to home to get them and they ended back in Nashville. The post office told me I could go up and get them. I flat out refused. Told them unless they were paying my time and gas, someone needed to get their happy butt up there. The postmaster of our post office went up in his personal car and picked them up. He then brought them to my door at 7 pm. Needless to say most of them were already dead. The post office paid for the chicks.

There are a lot of improvements that could be made in the postal system. I am amazed anything gets where it is supposed to.
