Met a nice girl named Megan this morning, looking for some sizzles! I told her to get on here quick and track you down Sundance! Hopefully she will find you. She had a predator get a frizzle so she needs a replacement. She is from Logan.

Cynthia, can't wait to see your babies. I drove back out here to my house while running errands just to see if you posted pics yet lol, so now I am back off to finish errands. How geeky am I to do that? Such a chick-a-holic.

Ok so my chicken coop FINALLY CAME!!!!!!!! ITS DONE!!!!

Okay, had to look up what a Sizzle is, and Oh My Goodness! I was dead of cute

Definitely going on the list of chickens I want. I think I'm going to have to convince my brother to enlarge the chicken coop at this rate. I didn't realize that once you have chickens, it becomes an addiction -- there should have been a warning label or something.

HI Megan/mimichicks! So glad you made it on here. So Sundance said there were 13 chicks hatched last night, both Silkie and Sizzle, hope there are some for you in there! Sundance should be checking in soon, she is in Phoenix today She usually posts on here each day

Cynthia, my errands are done, and no chickie pics. You are slacking! Haha! If you are going to be missing in action, then I hope you had something superfun going on today.

Ithildyn, Urban, I warned you guys.....chickens in closets, garages, bedrooms, it will happen to you too, just wait lol I am still trying to figure out how to expand my coop/run again and we just did it in April :/ DH is just wagging his finger at me, "you promised that was all!" Ha ha. It is not.....

Sooooo.....I have three girls whose eggs look like they are FERTILE?!!? I thought it might be my imagination, THEN there was one egg I found out in the run, probably been there a few days under some shavings...I opened it and it had started developing....hmmm....

I have seen no mounting or crowing out there....maybe I better edit my siggie to add that I have a stealth rooster out there yet to be identified....What the heck?! Whoever it is, is totally flying under the radar right now....how funny is that? I see no saddle feathers whatsoever on any of them.

Well, I didn't join here till 6 months after getting the senoritas, so I missed those warnings

Oh woe In closets? Really? We actually kept our chicks in my brother's bedroom till they were old enough. Only cat free room in the house. Never thought of a closet - we have a large cupboard/pantry behind the laundry area (we call it the jam room since we put all our preserves in there) that I guess would work for chicks in a pinch. Hmmmm..... One of the things keeping me from more chicks was not wanting my brother to have to sleep with cheepers for many weeks again. But now you've said closets, my brain is percolating!
