Ok, I'll bite. But I hate to be a know-it-all on this thread...
I usually go to the IFA in Draper. 12300 South and 900 East. I'm not thrilled with their food, but it does the job. There's a gal (Christie Brown) who re-sells grain from Idaho and/or American Fork area. It's worth the extra buck or so a bag I pay, rather than arrange for it myself. I like her 3 and 4 grain mix that she has, but she's often out of the stuff. (like right now....) She's located on 10650ish South and 1200 East. There's also an IFA in South Jordan. 12300 and Redwood I think.
IFA also has large bricks of Dry-Nest wood shavings. I go through one ever couple of months. They're $10 a pop. IFA's grain just went up in price this week(?) to about $17/50#. Although grain is sky rocketing everywhere. I may buy 500# on my next order from Christie. My ladies eat so much more in the winter, and seem to lay less.
Steve Regan does have the best price (only price?) on a 50# of DE. It's about $30. It's tough though, because they're only open 8-5, M-F. They're on 7th West and about 4200 South (I think).
Hardware cloth? Dunno. Check Home Depot and Lowes.
Hope that helps.
you sir (or mam) are my hero. thank you so much for all the info, it is a huge help!
