Utah!

Oh, well here's a screenshot... I'm afraid it doesn't show much in the way of size like the video did. And yes, NaNoWriMo is usually in November but they've also got a "camp" version that usually takes place during two other months of the year. Same concept, slightly different style. I'm doing NaNoWriMo's april camp, and it has a flexible word goal. This is my second time trying a NaNoWriMo event.

(EDIT: More pictures)

OOOh they look great. Even bigger than mine hows the rooster

OK, I have to be honest, I haven't read your posts. About to head home (FINALLY) and meet the new chicks that have hatched today!!!! Sundance, four of the eggs your sent me home with are hatching (the others were all clear but one that was an early quitter). So, looks like four of four that went into lockdown are hatching. So Excited to FINALLY have some chicks hatch.

Awsome. Were they the blue eggs? If you get a frizzle rooster out of that bunch I want it

SUndance, they did send me 7 extra boys, but they were all marked on the heads. These are the ones that i ordered to be female dang it. Any idea if GSL's can be the wrong color?

How old is your NN ? I might buy her from you! I really want one. Is she nice?

Lilwanis, Congrats on the babies!

Corvidae, I'm so glad that Joel finally got his welsummers! You are SWIMMING in chicks!

Lisa, that is really rotten luck with the chicks!

Cynthia, love your chicken pictures. I'm sorry I was right on that EE. I wanted to be wrong.

Joybells, maybe you could just post the link to your video. They sure are cute in the screenshots though.

Thank you! I am so excited! First babies to actually hatch

Yes four blue eggs. There is one pipped, two hatched, and the big one is just sitting there  hoping the third one makes it...hope the big one gets there too. Happy dance

Oh, and of course you can have a rooster. I have two of three ameracauna boys. Nice of them to be obvious about their feathers and all, but...

I keep trying to post a pic but can't get it to load
400

Oh it worked! One all black and one penguin chick that has eyebrows.

Red, I am so sorry about your Icee chick. :( Keep trying! You'll get there!

Corvidae, congrats on your excellent Wellsummer hatch!

Lisa-I can't believe they sent you all those boys! Grrr!

Lilwanis-congrats! More picutres when they fluff up!

Oh, shoot. I forgot what else I was going to respond to. Been working crazy hours...we have our big annual inventory count before our big audit, so guess what I've been doing for the last 2 days...and for the next 2 weeks? Counting and scanning, scanning and counting. Oofda!

I'm having the darndest time trying to sell the D'uccle and Cochin chicks. What the heck? It's Easter this weekend, you'd think people would be looking for cute chicks. I didn't have an ounce of trouble last year. Hmpf.

I candeled my latest eggs in the bator tonight...out of 30 bantam Crele Wyandotte eggs, only 4, count 'em, FOUR, are fertile. GAH!!!

All four had BETTER hatch, and all four had better be girls!!! (I already have Clay, my crele roo, from the first attempt.)

I also had to toss exactly half of the 15 Mille Fleur bantam Cochin eggs I set the same day. From the same breeder as my last batch of cochins, but this time I got only MF and Mottled. All of the mottled are developing, only 1 of the MF is developing, and the blue mille Fleur are doing nicely as well. Something's up with the MF of hers. None of the eggs from that pen were fertile last time either. I'll be looking for another source, I guess.

I could carry eggs back with me from Wisconsin later this month! My youngest (15) daughter and I are flying out to Wisconsin for the Midwest Horse Fair. It's a huge deal, and my mom and I used to go every year. Guess I'll go pay a visit to the Wisconsin BYC forum.
