Lisa, you are crazy to have that many flower beds. I don't know how you have time.
Kyle, good luck with your hatch!!
I definitely have to be done hatching, at least for a while, after this one- I'm going out of town and won't be around to watch the babies/eggs. I had one egg hatch overnight. I feel pretty sure that the others are dead in shell. I think broody was off them too long and they died. I need to find a chick that was hatched in the last day or two to be a buddy for this new one. In a few, I'm going to attempt to move broody out to the leper colony again, and stick this baby under her and see how it goes.
I'm on the other end of size when it comes to silkies here..I just had all of my Brahamas hatch that are going to hatch. Very pretty birds. They do get big. But, the coloring of this guys birds are amazing! Better than Delawares. Where is pancake..was that her name? She wanted one or two. Sphinx, if you want a buddy, mine hatched the same time as yours. I'm a little closer than Lisa...?? Just a thought. And, Brandi has some Silkies hatching right now. She is in Payson. The dad and mom are a couple that I sold to someone out this way. Buff dad, blue Splash mom..I had posted the blue splash many times..she's gorgeous! I will find pictures. Of the flock the Brahmas came from and a photo of my Blue Splash when I had her.
Here is Cotton and the blue splash I had and is the mom of the ones Brandi is hatching..and, I think she has some from someone else.
My blue splash and cotton in the back.
The light Brahama's flock I just had hatch last night. I got
5 babies.

back they are, they remind me of a Cochin's personality.
