Utah!

Brian, if Gary doesn't want that little Silkie, maybe you do?

I have three legorns hatched..oops, I mean leghorns..lol..I'll not get that lady saying it that way out of my mind!

Kyle, I don't think we've talked yet on here..but that is one cute baby! I hatched a few a few years back...loved, loved, those little webbed feet, and the beaks are sooo cute. They make for darling babies.

Yeah it's been really funny, she follows me around everywhere already. We have about 5-9 (bad packaging when shipped) Appleyard ducks hatching in 2 weeks as well. Should be really fun!

Kyle, very cute duckling!!

Lisa, the silkie is white. Very cute. Scared it's a boy because I've wanted a silkie for so long.

Lisa, this might be the person!   It's Aug. that I last sent her message, that's how I went..now, the photos only show one that has a SG with a beard, but check out some of those silkies..some have some pretty nice beards.   I think I lucked out and got the two SG's .. white.   I did say in my mail I sent to her..wow, I think I just may get a SG!   Not sure if you have tried her.
Also, I got some from a guy on ebay around the same time..remember I was hatching SG's and Silkies for a while..but I couldn't find him on e-bay.  I did see others talking about him on here, where people were wondering where they got their pretty show girls.  It was from Frogmanatbac.   Maybe you can find him, or when you see his name pop up on ebay selling SG's, you will know he has some nice ones.  I also have another girl I bought from..have to go look again..I am thinking you may have already heard of these names as hard as you've been looking.  I'll go see if I can find the other name.

Found it..she has a lot of nice bearded silkies too...this is what you need, a nice white beared silkie girl to go with your boy. :)

Gah, one of these days I am going to get a real life and not feel exhausted all the time. Actually, in another month or so, it looks like my work schedule might lighten up a bit and I'll actually have time to enjoy my kids, my chickens, and the stupid $4000 cat. Now, if I can just keep my mother out of the hospital...

Anyway, things are clipping along here. I still have the 3 adult Cream Legbar hens, but I am impossible to get hold of these days, so I don't know when I'll be able to get them sold. I also have 3 BLRW I was going to get rid of, but I was eyeing them yesterday as I got out of the car (yes, they are in the garage) and they are actually starting to look rather like breeding stock to me, so I'm not sure now! Of course, I believe I have mild dementia these days, so a clown would probably look like good breeding stock...

My chickens here at the house appear to be on strike--no one except Bokbok is laying any eggs. Can't figure it out, since the ones at the land are laying like crazy (my roommates keep bringing down buckets of eggs). Plenty of food, plenty of water, plenty of shade...and no eggs. Sheesh. I'm about to send the boys out to post a chicken salad recipe on the coops to see if that motivates them a bit.

Awww that one is adorable! You feeling the boy vibe ? You are usually right about gender so I hope you really can't tell and are just being skeptical. I cannot absolutely at all tell on silkies and showgirls until they are 12 weeks or so, then it starts to look one way or the other. Then I am still wrong so I give up. I just wait for the crow.

If the recipe sign works let me know, I will try it too! 3 eggs on Thursday. 21 layers that should be laying. Sheesh.....

Good news. Last week i was going to put down one of my Silkies cause she couldn't walk, after reading a couple post on her i decided to give her a chance to recover. Today she has been trying to stand on her bad leg. She has really been able to bend it but today she has been bending it for short periods of time and standing on it.
