Utah!

I'm still interested in doing a chickenstock. But it's got to be a LOT better weather than what we're having now. I know that April is like this every single year, but it still catches me by surprise.

Or, you could email her. She's ~pretty~ good about answering emails. Short to the point though. Her email is [email protected]
If her meat chickens get big enough by the end of April, I'm going to go over and help her process them. Just for the experience!

Chicken Stock? Absolutly!

There were a couple of us that were trying to get something going the day of "Tour de Coops" (Saturday June 27th) See some of the posts back on page 15.
We were still deciding on when, what to do, and where to hold it. Any ideas?

Marty.....going to Christie's to help process sounds like fun. The week before I picked up my chicks, I watched her do a rooster as she explained what she was doing. Educational. And I wouldn't mind learning more on how to do it. Someday I might do meat birds.

Wow. Does Christie mind an audience? I'd love to observe how she processes her chickens. We're not doing meat birds at this point, but I'm considering it for the future.

As for the chicken stock, I think I'm down for the treats. Anyone else want to host? If my coop and run are done by the time we hold it (hopefully will be done by sometime in early May), I could host it here - but I'm in Highland, so you'd have to cross county lines and all

. Were people wanting to do this after the Tour de Coops on June 27th, or before? Personally, I've got so many questions that I would prefer having it sooner.

I have some barred rock pullets, a little more than a month old (maybe you want older than that), and some barred crosses, and I'll be in Utah County on Thursday if you're interested. I've had them out in the coop for a few weeks under a heat lamp, and they're doing great. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone else personally who has pullets for sale, especially older ones.

I'm not quite ready to pick up new birds yet, and Thursday I have to attend a funeral. Where are you located?
