Utah!

So sick of the wind, snow and cold! Poor little fruit tree's are never going to get any blossoms

It has even been unseasonably cold down in this neck of the woods.

I have 264 tomatoes in the ground and another 80+ that need to go in before they get root bound. I keep praying for protection and been blessed with no hard freeze. Even had water freeze up but the tomatoes still made it.

Its snowing AGAIN today

Its freezing out there, and my ewe just decided this was the day to have her baby. I hope it warms up some.

Most of my garden can't go in until May due to our really cold nights here. I did plant my onions, peas and herbs.

I am going to be planting Sweet Potatoes/Yams this year. Its a first time for me. Has anyone done them here in Utah and had them turn out?

Also the tomato I have planted the last couple years isn't going to be available at our nursery. I usually plant Roma and Heartlands. But the Heartlands are not going to be available. Does anyone know any comparable breeds that will mature fast?

I'm growing a variety called "Stupice" that is supposed to mature in 65 days. Never have tried it before.....Lake Valley seeds puts it out.

Chickenstock? I would prefer to having it before the tour also. It would give us all a chance to meet and get acquainted.

As long as they are dry, and out of the wind, I'd say 7 weeks is ok. At least in April in Southern Utah... Anyone else?

(Isn't it supposed to be 100º in St. George this week??...)

I am in southern Utah but we are really at a high elevation so our temps are just like those in Salt Lake. Our highs are supposed to be mid 70's
