Utah!

Whittni..congratulations. You guys are racking up the ribbons. Shinx, good luck on the hatch, you're off to a good start. Yaay for Red. :) It is pouring down here! The lighting is close, I'm wondering if I should be on the internet...Loving it though..we need this rain. :) Can see that it will clear up soon. My third baby didn't make it. It didn't pip, so I did, had a lot of yolk, and I wondered why. It was breathing fine all day as I let it sit and hang out for a while, then noticed that it wasn't absorbing the yolk. Then I noticed it had that icky greenish fluid in the bottom. Then, I saw the intestine. :( No wonder it wasn't absorbing the yolk. I haven't seen that in a very long time. Poor baby. And yes, it was a SG. :( With a bow tie. :hit I am waiting for the gal to write me back. I sent her these photos of the babies. I had asked her during the auction if these that had buff were white..because she had advertised white, she said yes, that they get white later on. So, I am pretty sure that the one is white, waiting to hear what color the other one is. I am not keeping the blue one, so if anyone is interested in it, let me know. Just 5 dollars. :) Pretty baby.

Red, I don't think it was your egg, I think it's your Icelandic curse!! Ha ha ha! I'm actually pretty tickled with my new one, even though it has the automatic cooling feature, which freaks me right out. The last egg was tapping away last night when I took the third Icee out. I expected to see at least a pip this morning, but NOTHING. I just took it out of the incubator, and listened for it to tap. It took a good 45 seconds of tapping before I felt it move/tap back, so I'm a little concerned about this one. Then again, they're not technically even due for a few hours, so maybe this one just prefers to be hatched on time?

Desert, glad you and Brian got to meet. One of these days, I want to come see your set up.

Sphinx, I have been watching that one rock around pretty violently. It's trying! I'm going to fret about it now until we get a verdict.

I can't remember - do you have pierced ears?

Checked the eggs under my broody a little. No obvious pips from my angle, but I thought I heard a "cheep".

Red, just found the other Icelandic last night

, Brian can attest that searching for one chicken around here can be a challenge. Each chick had grown to different sizes therefor were in different brooders. The blonde one had been in the brooder for month olds cause it never grew, the black in the next size and finally the red, who is rather large and grand is in the largest brooder. The black one now has slight golden neck feathers.... Sad note: the blonde one finally passed

(it had been weak since 2 weeks after hatch and NOTHING helped; it was the smallest and never grew; I had bad feelings about it but kept hoping it would snap out of it.

The black and red are healthy.... no worries there!!! Geez.... really have to take the camera out and just take pics. I get sidetracked on things that have to be done...ugh!!

I'll go get pics right now!!!!!!!!

This is a very big newby asking some dumb questions....What kind of an incubator to buy? Probably a dozen eggs or so for chicken sized eggs. Let's see it should have an automatic turner, right?
