Well I'm sad to say, It's time to re-home at least 11-12 of these cute Bantams. Here is what I think they are Buff Cochins, Red Cochin, Light Blue or Lavender or White Cochins, Partridge Cochins, and then the mystery clean leg chipmunks. Any takers on here?

Lil-I hope your silly baby is not terrified of the 2 Cochins, that is so funny. I hope they are doing much better today.

Chick he, we have a smal chihuahua jack russel mix. When they were chicks, we were sure to only let her look at the chicks while we were holding her, but then the chickens grew up to be bigger than the dog, so now the dog is more afraid of the chickens!!! But I'm sure it depends on each dog

Brandi in Payson has a 4 month old partridge cochin pullet if anyone is interested pm me :) I told her I would ask around.

If anyone is traveling from Logan to SLC please let me know :) I need help with a chicken train to get some chicks/quail that direction.

PHOOOOOOOO!

I drove from SLC to Malad and back yesterday for a ticket. I would have been happy to have a little company.

Yeah, she is doing better. She's a bit of a bully right now  I put them in the big brooder today, they are loving the space.

I just got a text from someone who took my Delaware Roo, he loves my rooster and said he wants to find some more Delawares. Anyone know of anyone selling Delawares right now. At least I know he didn't get eaten. hehehe

Hey chickchk, welcome to BYC! I'm your neighbor in Davis County. I agree with Sundance- I'd have a completely covered chicken run for your birds so that way if your dogs DO turn out to be an issue, the chickens will be safe. It'll also keep them safe if other animals happen to get into your yards. Take it slow introducing the dogs and chickens- it may be possible for them to cohabitate. Look over the plans over here on this site- there's some AMAZING chicken coops, complete with plans.

Canebeds, my incubator has them incubate laying on their sides, and automatically turns them.

Lilwanis, I am giggling that you were censored. I thought you'd typed it that way.

Acemario, good to see you again! I am extremely crafty, but crocheting and knitting just never clicked (ha ha) for me. If it was a regular quilting square, I'd TOTALLY participate.

Kyle, there's someone on the saltlakecityurbanchickens facebook group really looking for ducks, maybe post it there? Where are you located? I'm seriously tempted by your black silkie. Was it hatched last spring? How much?

Silly, that's awesome that your Delaware roo is having a happy life.

My trip up to King's Peak was arduous, but fun. We didn't sleep at all the second night because on the second night, we heard a very LOUD, scary roaring sound. We were in bear country, and it sounded an awful lot like a bear. Whenever it roared, the nearby horses and dogs would go NUTS. In hindsight, I think it was just a strange sounding donkey, but it scared the ***** out of us (that was me SELF censoring LOL).
