Utah!

A few of my babies. Most are light or dark blue, one is a chipmunk, and a few black. I have 10 hatched, one on it's way. Looks black, or dark blue. Hard to tell yet.

Bundles of blue and fluffy feet. :)

Anyone into bees, or want to get into bess? Cal Ranch is ordering them now.

I wonder how long they will have them available for this season? My fiance has wanted bees for some time, now, but with all of the hubbub, he hasn't had a chance to get any started.

Silly, congrats on the babies! Those three from the eggs I gave you are sure dark! It looks like you might have two blues and one black, or possibly three blues there. Those blues definitely came from my Ameraucana

I'll bet they're pretty like their momma, too.

Madchicken, it will be a little over a week before I can start collecting Icelandic eggs again, but I can give you some LF eggs in the meantime, if you'd like. I've got no shortage of eggs right now, and the boys get to go spend a day with the girls every other day, so there should be fertile eggs. Mostly barnyard mixes, some EE's. Let me know.

Cynthia, love the sleepy babies!

Cynthia your babies are so cute!

Yes, Red those 3 came from your eggs. I did have one more that was moving at lockdown, but yesterday when I candled it, wasn't moving. So I cracked it open just to see, and its legs where over its head, so I'm wondering if it was just stuck and couldn't move to get out because of the way it was in the shell. So sad :( But I love the 3 that I did get. They are so cute with their puffy cheeks, so lets pray they are all girls, there is one that does have a silver/white dot on the head, does anyone now if that one is possibly a Roo?

White dot can mean it will be barred, but only means a roo if it is a sexlinked chick (barred mom X the right daddy, there is a list of a few that work)

Okay Cynthia there is no natural sun light for photos, its extremely windy and raining here, so I stuck them under a light. Little stinkers didn't want to hold still, and I now noticed I left a few out. I was getting help by my almost 3 year old. LOL

Silkie #1- What color of Patridge do you guys think it will end up being?

Silkie #2-Do you think its going to be a Buff?

Silkie #3, Another Buff?

Silkie #4 Another Buff?

Silkie #5-Its really like a dark Chocolate,

EE Mix from Red, I guess that is what you would call them

Naked Neck x Delaware---I'm going to list this on on KSL, any takers on here?

Naked Neck---Going to list this one too, Anyone on here what her/him?

Naked Neck Maran---I love the colors on this one, almost tempted to see how it grows up. But any takers? Its going on KSL with the other 2.

I don't know Karen, those are some pretty dark stripes going on. Not sure about a partridge? It will change a lot I think. Are you going to keep that one..I hope? Would love to see how it grows out. Sure is a fluffy little thing. And I'm still loving your 6th photo. Looks like it has some color in in it besides the chocolate. Going to be pretty. Could be a partridge. The one you think looks like a buff, does look like a buff. As the feathers start coming out in the next few days, you will get a better idea as to what color they will be.

Soooo CutE are they NN ?

I wish! ha..they are tiny tots as I call them. Silkies and cochins..little bantams.

I did just get some NN's in the mail today. They took 6 days to get here! That's why I was asking if you sold NN's. Plus, I saw a photo of your pretty light one you have. Anyway, these eggs aren't the only ones being held up at the P.O. in Oregon. The gal e-mailed me and tole me that the same thing is happening to others. She says they will work with me on this. Who knows, maybe they will do well.

Thanks for compliment on my babies, I still have more coming. Only one looks different so far.

Oh, I do have one NN that is going into lock down this Fri. One. And that person has already reimbursed me for them because those eggs also took a long time to get here! I'm thinking..weather? But not sure about Oregon weather. ??

Yes, all the Silkies are staying here till at least 8 weeks, I'm pretty sure we are going to keep 1 or 2 of them, I love my 2 I have now, and I could easily get rid of everyone but maybe 2 LF just for larger eggs and have a hole flock of Silkies, I just love them. So they are staying here for a while so we will get to see them all grow up. I'm keeping the 3 from Red till we can tell if they are girls or boys, and if all 3 are girls by some miracle, I will probably re-home 1 of them, and keep 2. But the 3 NN mixes are for sure getting a new home. Just when is the question. I would rather find someone now before we get too attached.
