Anyone know what color (blue? lavender? splash?) this could be? the white on her wings are throwing me off!

She's beautiful!! She looks blue to me.. ? I have a splash chick and she is much lighter then this and has a combination of blues and whites. This one looks darker and alot more solid blues throughout.

yeah, I looked up splash, and they all looked lighter, I just didn't know if there was such a thing as a reverse splash lol.

just looking over the pics of blues/lavenders, I wasn't seeing any white feathers on them.

(if it helps, she's a bantam cochin)

Bitsy, she's definitely blue. The white will go away. My black Wyandotte had that as a chick and now she's pure black.

I am agreeing there because I was just given a beautiful blue silkie chick who has very similar coloring. Its whole body is a lovely very light lavender color but then its wings are very dark blue/grey and now that ive had it several days, im noticing its growing the same dark feathering on its tail and back area, so my guess is it's going to continue to darken up everywhere. Although your baby has much lighter wings, so who knows.

aww! so cute!!!! it looks like mouse coloring on her down my baby was sure throwing me off though... she had patches of gray, and patches of super light yellow... just made me suspect that she 'could' be a splash.... oh well, I'll keep her anyways lol! she's a beautiful, calm baby.

Yep, if this one didnt have such dark wings I would think it was a very light self blue or something lol. I have never seen a blue start out so light and turn so dark like this so it'll be crazy watching her get suddenly all dark if thats whats going to happen lol I have no idea. My splash chick was more obvious that she was a splash. She had the peices of silver, white, yellowish look and now she's sproutin silver/white splashes all over her wings and feet

I took a photo of my girls today outside in the grass, and thought that Iluvsilkies would like to see my 2 girls. Plus I have the white chick out in the grow out pen.



And here are the chicks. YIKES, they are so cute. Anyone know if all these yellow, and yellow with chipmunk blue are Wheaten Ameraucana's. They are all from blue eggs. I'll have to get some cute photos of them tomorrow.
