Woo hoo, i havent forgotten about that If it came from the same background as dixie then it'll probably turn out pretty to! I will absolutely want it if it does

not this time. I have enough eggs to fill my new bator. It only holds 20

We put the babies out with the hens yesterday. Well there been out there for 3 days with a divider, yesterday we took down the divider and they slept in the coop last night. Hickety Pickety (Cynthia this is your Rhodebar) hopped right up to the roosting bar with the big girls and went in the coop at dusk. The babies weren't really sure what to do so we out them all in there by hand. Tonight my husband went out and right after the automatic door closed the babies freaked out and went into the box we have out there as a wind block. He grabbed them and put them into the coop again. Hopefully they'll learn to go in soon. At least it's dark late enough that we are always home by the time they need to be in.

Oh and the leghorn is definitely a cockerel, he started practicing his crowing yesterday.

I took a photo of my girls today outside in the grass, and thought that Iluvsilkies would like to see my 2 girls. Plus I have the white chick out in the grow out pen. And here are the chicks. YIKES, they are so cute. Anyone know if all these yellow, and yellow with chipmunk blue are Wheaten Ameraucana's. They are all from blue eggs. I'll have to get some cute photos of them tomorrow.

I am in love with your silkies! And those babies are killin me!

Thanks! I love my Silkie Girls, they will be a year the beginning of May. I got them from themadchicken (Gary) I don't think I could part with them. I would bring them in the house and make them a cage if I had too.

Are you referring to me or cynthia? She said she has a single black chick egg in her incubator right now and I was saying if it turns out as fluffy as dixie then i'd love it

Thanks, cynthia gave her to me. I am thinking she's going to turn dark because her pin feathers are coming in dark everywhere. I just thought it was crazy how she is so light right now yet has those dark wings. I also love her soft expression on her face. I think she's a sweetie.

They got a hair cut in the winter so they could see better, and the partridge has grown back, my white/lavender or whatever she is, hasn't grown back yet.
