Cutest little dolly of a girl. And I'm not talking about the chicken. (it's cute too though) :)

Thank you so much! She is definitely a keeper!
So is her sweet little her sweet little hen Rosie. The calmest, most patient chicken I have ever met!

When I asked this sweet little sis if she would like to do something special to celebrate preschool graduation, she told me she just wants to have a sleep over tonight in the coop with her chickies! :) She sure does love her girls! (Almost as much as her mama does!)

this picture is adorable! They look like they have fun together:):)

Photo overload! I think that my white just may be a girl..opposite of your boy Iluv..I am not sure yet..just three months old a couple of days ago.
The top does sweep back a bit.

The comb is what has me stumped. Still to early I guess. Poor baby bumped it's nose
on something. I had to watch it for a while. I hope that scab doesn't leave a mark, but
oh well..shouldn't show up too bad. Knowing this little one, it scraped it on the fence at
bedtime..it still goes balistic trying to find a roost. Doesn't go into the coop on it's own.
I pushed the feathers way apart to show the comb.

Side view of the top again and tail feathering.

Stink eye! Poor nose. It's healing good now though.

Not crowing yet. Lisa, this is the sibling to the one you got from me. Only I hatched it
later..so .. not sure about sibling, but from the same gal. Is the black you one you are
talking about the one you got from me? I may have a blue boy out there. They are
getting bigger. Will know soon. Ha ha..like in about three months. I can't tell on this one!
Cynthia, I have 2 white ones almost 2mths old. One is an obvious girl with a very round crest & no comb and the other is the "Im thinking Roo" and he looks an awful lot like your lil guy/gal..Just sayin ;) The sweeping crest back looks the same but the comb on yours is actually bigger then the guy on mine. Though mine is only 8 weeks old right now. I'll have to take recent pics of him, but it looks alot like yours in the sweeping back crest, and the comb is wider like this but is not raising at all yet that is the only reason im "hoping" mine could still be a girl.

I took some picturees today as I was working out in the yard. The supplement I'm taking protandum is marvelous and has made such a difference in my life. Last year if I tried to work outside my asthma would kick up and in the hospital I would go. Now I'm not even on Oxygen

My frizzled cochin pullet. Isn't she pretty shes for sale and about 4 weeks old

my chick with the hen planted with hen and chicks in the backround

my poor almost bald chicken in her dress. Hopefully covering her will let her feathers grow out

Those little seramas! I swear robins are bigger than they are!!!

So I am thinking I still want to find a pure black silkie with an awesome crest like Dixie! I have two blacks that I totally love but one is a smooth & one is a frizzle silkie and I think I still want a regular furry silkie with a beautiful beard/crest. If anyone has one, or has any black chicks that pop up with nice big vaults they will sell please let me know :)

Also I love my new chicken run! I set it up as a 6x22 and so far I dont mind it because I figure if I leave it like this it will actually allow "More" room for them in the long run because it gives them a bigger turn out space. It would look better the other "wider" way I think in this spot, but it would make it harder to allow a turn out space. If I leave it as a 6x22ft run then i'll be able to open the door into another smaller turn out corral for them thats about 10x20ft. I hope thats a decent size for about 8-10 birds. :)

I'm telling you, Dixie is going to be hard to beat! She has an unreal crest and muff...good luck!
Your run sounds great.
