Utah!

Hey Ace! I'll run over in the morning and check on your girls but I've got to tell you they went to a great home. Justin has a chicken palace so nice that even the goat crawls in and sleeps in it :p And its quite a sight when he takes is dog, his goat, and his chicken for a walk... So incredibly cute!

Second, here's hoping the broody hen does her job! My fingers are crossed for you.

I could tell! He seemed like a quality guy! I mentioned to him that these hens were the youngest of the flock, so they aree a bit skiddish. With time though, and in a smaller flock, I'm sure they'll become super social :) and they should lay some cool eggs!

Quote: I grew the Mammoth Russians also. I found them at walmart in a discount box for .50 cents. I always plant normal ones to attract the bees but thought i would try the giant ones for the kids. The biggest head is probable 15" across.

I think one of my BLRW is going broody, i wonder how many Silkie eggs she could sit on.

I'll have to get a photo of the one big one that is left of the sunflowers. I cut the one most ready for some grand kids this afternoon, they loved them, raw and all. then, we threw the whole flower out to the chickens, they didn't know what to think of it..so, the grand kids picked the sum flowers out and threw some, and pocketed some. :)

I didn't get photos of the sunflowers yet, but had my camera out for fun this morning with the chickens. That frizzle is going to be a beauty. All of my kids and grand kids love her.
Lisa..love love that NN! I think she is getting close to laying.

Your frizzle is beautiful! and I love your white and cream EE :) she's pretty :D Your NN looks purdy... for a NN ;) heheh (sorry, still not a fan :D I'll leave those for you other peeps ;) haha)

Edit: oh, and Cynthia, Willow (the EE I got from you) is doing pretty good :) she's so snuggly! I love it! We're working on integrating in the flock... she's still hanging out alone, but I hope that she'll get accepted real soon!

Does anyone near Cache Valley need a portable coop? Know of someone who wants to get into chickens in a compact/portable way?

I need some cash to pay medical bills or I would continue to use this as a grow out/broody breaker/infirmary coop. I would love to get $400 for it but I am open to offers.

It is 3 ft wide 7 feet tall 7 feet long. The roost/nest area is 3x3x3 with two external nests. It rolls fairly easily with two extending handles. (The pics are from before I installed the pipe handles.)

I does not come with feeder/waterer but I can be convinced to toss them in!

I will let this stay up for a while before posting on craigslist/ksl.

Frizzles just crack me up! They look like they were dried at too high of a heat and without a static cling sheet :) I'm adding it to my list for next spring. I love NNs too... My roo is like a big dog who follows me everywhere and is about as excited as my lab when I get home from work.
