. But I try to be a good neighbor and keep them quiet.

They don't bother me. Really the dogs are just fine and it's a free world. Or at least it should be.

This is an Amaracauna Leghorn mix and she will drop light blue eggs.

so pretty!! I've got some leghorn/salmon faverolle crosses due to hatch soon. I hope they look similar to your beauty

OMG I feel horrible. I took over Iluv 2 Silkies today, well one came back home since she is a Splash, but they had lice. I had no dang idea, and feel so horrible that I took them there with lice, and that my chickens have lice.

Worse chicken momma award goes to me. I had no dang idea. She told me to get Puppy Frontline, and put drops on them in a few spots. So I guess I will be off to the pet store tomorrow morning. I still can't believe my girls have lice.


In other news, I put 5 Serama or Frizzled Serama eggs under the broody, and she is happy as pie. Hopefully a few hatch out for her. Got them from a high school kid down the street that is doing chickens for a school project.

I am hoping I will get blue!  He has a lot of blue in him.  Plus, I have a red pullet out there with the prettiest black lacing, no, she doesn't look a thing like a wyondotte, but she came from the prettiest Olive egg..wonder what that EE and her would make.  Also, a pretty little feather footed pullet. Lots of different things..and, I am hoping I can keep a Marans Rooster.  Ha, wishful thinking, want to keep the sweetest boy I can.  Last one I tried, went after my little Doxie.  Couldn't have that.  This guy is so mellow right now...hope he stays that way. 

The little roo I think in going try to keep looks just like yours. He's about a month and a half young. Sweet boy and I really hope he stays that way!

Rooster collars - are there different types? Does one work better than another? Where do you get them from? I need to pick one up soon incase my guy starts crowing soon.

I am thinning my flock.  I have a Silver lace Wynandott a gold lace Wyandot and a bard rock hen.   This is their first winter.  Let me know if anyone wants them before I post them on KSL

Silly- I'm so sorry about the lice! Ugh! I've used frontline. It has worked great! No creepy crawlies allowed! I might be interested in your splash girl if she still needs a home...

I have a couple of little 4 wk old bantam cochins that need to find a home if anyone is interested. One is a red frizzle and the other is a smooth golden laced. They were hatched on April fools day

Missy is beautiful! She looks like she's glowing! If I didn't have chicks coming out of my ears I would take your barred rock! She's a pretty little thing!

Thank you, and yes, the Barred Rock is pretty, and sweet, she just stands there, you have to walk around her, and....check this out.

I love how her fluffy butt feathers look.

I'm thinking yours will have more color..but you never know...how about..a leghorn look, white...with a nice big fluffy .. black.. beard!
