Utah!

I'm trying to talk my husband into one, but I just got the new coop. We'll see how it goes.

Do you think one of those $50 styrofoam ones from IFA would be good enough? I could put the 6 left over eggs in it.

But at least I know when my silkie will go broody, probably 23 days from now

That's what I use, and many others on here. :) They work great.

sorry! I've been a bit preoccupied with this bunch of adorable-ness!
Alyssa Jayne was born Thursday morning, on her own time! She is such a beautiful little thing with such an amazing amount of hair! (first for any of my kids!)
She was born at 11:34 am on 8/6/15, 19 inches, and 7 lbs 6 oz (wow, for 2 weeks exactly overdue! it even shocked the dr).

As for the ducks @LadyIsadora , I think Brian (the other guy who took the majority of the ducks, but kept only 3) may be looking to get rid of his trio as well, he's trying to cut back on a lot of things, because of a new job. If you're interested, I can let him know!
I've been waiting for this! Not like you .. but waiting for this photo!

What a doll! Fun having a lot of hair on the baby isn't it? You will have fun with that. Congratulations!

Bitsy that is a beautiful baby congrats. I haven't been on much very busy with my new horse. Just a reminder that the salt lake county fair is this weekend. Also there is an appaloosa show Saturday at the Golden Spike. I am going to have a very busy week

I am hoping to go to the fair. My friend is showing her lambs. It will be fun.

Dangit :( I will be hunting this weekend. No fair for me.

Well I think I'm about done with the Icelandic breed. Another of my hens has disappeared and if she doesn't show up in three weeks with chicks, I quit. I've had it. I had three good bloodlines accumulated before I got out here. Lost one hen and a bloodline last year. Now two more of my hens are gone with another bloodline. Can't get rid of the roosters and I only have two hens left. I have had it, I quit, I'm done. This is too much stress for me on top of everything else. If anyone wants an Icelandic breeding trio ..... $30. I will give you the best diversity in genetics I can. I would rather sell them to someone here than deal with KSL again. Please just PM me. I work in Murray and could transport them out there if you want to connect with me.

red, what if she shows up with babies? Keep fingers crossed!

And have to ask, is it a bird hunt that is on? It's been yrs. since I've hunted. I loved it. Or, is it Elk? Or Bow? I used to go up into the Uintas to hunt deer when it was bow hunt, now, I didn't use a bow. I just went along for that one. I know pheasant isn't for a couple of months. ??

Deer bow hunt. I don't think the grouse are legal for another few weeks or something.

And I'm kind of unsure if she'll show back up or not. Her sister vanished several weeks ago and I've not seen her once since then. My turkey that was sitting surfaced a few times while on the nest, so I knew she was still here. But these dang chickens just disappear and I'm tired of trying to find out why. I don't know if it's predators or they're just taking off or what but I've had it. I have a few older hens of other breeds that don't really fly or wander so I guess that's what I'm keeping.
