I bought nipples on amazon and made my own bucket waterer. I get the buckets free from work. Love it! No more slimey water and it lasts like two weeks before I have to fill it again. I am going to start making chicken tractors like the one in my profile and i will include a bucket waterer with each one.

I've thought really, really hard about those chicken waterers. I'm a bit skittish now, after Corvidae's experience. That chicken tractor in your AV is really nice.

Lisa, I'm so sorry about that chick. Wasn't that the only one that you thought had survived from the due earlier group? You are not allowed to touch those eggs again until day 25, Missy.

I am in the habit of both lifting the waterer and tapping the nipples to make sure hey work every time I check for eggs.

Every single one of them (7/7) is peeping if i would not have killed the one yesterday they all would have made it to this stage. Pretty crazy after the temp drop...so far all of them are alive, one out, two working on it.....one is a little shrink wrapped but I put the damp cloth on and it might still make it. Still moving
