Utah!

thanks everyone! will post bunny pictures later on :) lisa i am not 100% sure but i am thinking boy and if that black is mostly brown then yeah that would likely be a boy. did you read the ee sexing thread? you will be able to tell for sure if its a boy by reading the thread.

Hey Red, if there's one coon you can pretty much count on about 2-3 for each one you see... I'd get her safe asap as death by coon is terrible and since she's broody she won't run. So here's how you catch her... get a couple people (in case she tries to make a run for it but probably not setting on eggs) and put an empty laundry basket over her. Have a safe broody pen all set up and quickly transfer her and the eggs to it. Hope that works! If she's a pecker put on leather gloves. Good luck!

Hey, I am totally fine with an earlier hatch!

Right now I've got a marshmallow out in the new trap birdman helped me get. We've also used sardines and remains a la chicken, both of which have had hits from the coon, though they were in the box traps. The thing I hate about this one is that not only is it big, it's smart. It's probably been around for a while and knows some tricks, which I'm betting is why I've had such a hard time getting a hold of it. And YES, it would be an incredible relief to have that thing gone! I'm just grateful that my Marans chose to set up her nest a ways away from the raccoon's path of traffic in the yard. She's a smart girl.

Birdman---Aw man! Bummer. Yes I have read through that thread, and my brain begins to bend sideways after a bit so I like that you are willing to translate for me :) I knew there was a pretty good chance. Yellow comb still, just taking a while to go through puberty I take it! Little brat. Better get my old standby KSL rooster ad going lol

Soooo my Shirley has been making a huge racket all morning, in and out of that nest. Just went out to look, she is in there squatting. Don't know if it is the real thing yet, but sure is looking close! Yay! Isn't that first egg the bestest thing ever? It is like waiting for a newborn baby ! I can hardly stand the wait. Anyday....c'mon girl!

Ok, Lisa, pics coming up from a girl I had a couple of years ago with similar coloring. And, I had a barred rock with a cute tippy tail like that one of yours. I love it. I even have a picture of her in a group of my older ones. you will see what I mean.
Going for pics..

Here is how she started out...go ahead and notice my cute little grand daughter. :) She named her Oreo. Quite original, don't ya think?
Here she is grown up. Pretty bird.
.
Here she is with the group, right by the barred rock, with the cute tail I was telling you about. She almost looks like a barred here, but is way different..just the shot taken. she has stripes, the barred has sideways stripes.
And just for fun, there is my BLRW I have shown pictures of on the nest box. That EE was a sweetheart!! They are enjoying some yogurt. :) You have to step back when they get into that stuff!
Oh, I didn't tell you about my Barred Rock with the tippy tail like yours. Her tail was a lot like your last pic there. When she got older, it spread out on the end. I thought it was pretty.

Battery should be charged..will go get pictures of what I was originally going to get today. You haven't seen my Exchequers yet! And the blue girl. And the splash Am.

Awesome pics! More more!!! And tell us how your doc appt went!

That hens coloring looks so much like my little guy. Even white on the chest. Is that en EE? I could not see puffies. I know my other one was a boy he made a RACKET. it was crazy how much he was trying to crow. This one so far nothing. But it does not look good :( Birdman is right, it follows the boy coloring. BUT there is a small small chance maybe, on that thread there were a few exceptions posted in the first few pages....very rare but it can happen. I do not usually have those kinds of odds tho lol! I think I will give the little guy another week or two before I send him along. Just to be sure :)
