Utah!

Yay!!!! I'm glad she's finally in labor! I guess she was holding out for the emerald birthstone when she gets her goat's mother's necklace. LOL Love your little buckings. I want a goat now too.

Welcome Winyari! Congrats on your new addiction. What kind of chicks did you get, and where from? Sorry you lost one already. Hopefully your four year old learned a lesson, and that will be the last incident. Can't wait to see pictures.

My BIL/SIL have a barred rock, so I know what they look like. It's just Suzie's have some amazingly crisp lines.

Do a search for coronation sussex- they're like light sussex, but with a lavender cape around the neck instead of white. HUGE birds, and so pretty.

Sasha, there should be a little bit of space at the bottom of the egg at day 17. I candled my eggs yesterday at day 18, and you could see light between the chick and the air cell in a couple places, and you could see beaks or claws wiggling around. Oh, incidentally, all seven are still going strong! here's a picture of day 18, and this is more or less what I saw:

Thank you, Sphinx. That gives me a little hope. :)

Quite the thunderstorm we have going on here in Cache Valley. I bet Momma Goat just wanted to bring the babies in with a bang! ha ha.

My girls are going bazurk. Big ones in the4 hen house squawking. The preteens do not get that they need to go in the coop so they are standing in the new part of the run with no roof yet, trying to hide under a board but they are gettig soaked. If they would just go under the roofed area....they are such dorks! My polish's hairdos are all messed up.

Wow, crazy to hear about the storms there- it's sunny and nice here in Davis County.

Welcome, MrsVsChicks! Tell us about your flock.

It looks like we got some rain here last night, but if there was thunder at all, I didn't hear it. I usually sleep like a baby when it's storming out.

Alright guys, here's the pictures I got of the muttskie cockerel, aka Duke. Sorry these aren't in daylight. It's hard for me to get out there any other time than at night right now.

Anyone think there's any chance this is a girl? I still think boy, but now I'm hoping it could be otherwise, haha. Of the three I got from Sphinx, he has the best disposition and is so mellow when handled. He's a sweet boy.

Oh, he is a handsome boy. I kept two hens from that same hatch, and their combs/wattles are less than half the size of Duke. If you want, I can take a couple pictures if you want.

I am loving seeing how those guys turned out. I'm glad I gave them to you.
