Well SilverPhoenix and our Monster are off to the Tour de Cure today...they are doing 25 miles....I hope they have a safe, fun ride.

I have a daughter and grandson doing this in Brigham City today. 80 miles.

Might as well share before I head out the door..I have pictures of my grandson and daughter in their colors.

My daughter
Her son...wishing them good luck, and of course safety....that's a long ride!

HAVE TO EDIT...this young man is going for the 100 mile! Oh, to be young again.

Well, here I am a day late and a dollar short, I just got my bike out last night and dug most of my accessories out of boxes since last fall's move. I just need to get a new helmet since my suspension pieces fell out of mine. And then I see this post and go, "DARN IT", I could have been torturing myself today.

Good luck on the ride!!

Oh wait, wrong bike, I sold that one.

That's the right one, in front of the pawn shop in Austin, TX where I found it.

I think my hubby would like the top one too.

That is awesome...I am hoping the 6 yr old monster can make 25...

Yay!! Thanks for the Polish pictures T-rex and Sasha! I hope I hope it is a cuckoo. I love them! They are cute little things.

I can't hardly wait until the Polish eggs I have in the incubator hatch. 2 more weeks. I'm down from 17 eggs to 10. I'm really struggling with this new incubator. There are only 3 left in it. I think the temps were to low? I have two thermometers in it but they both read different temps. 3 degrees different.

Cynthia we need to see pictures!!!

Red I love your picture!
To many things to comment on. My DH rides bike also he just got back from a 25 miler. Crazy guy. My son ran the half marathon in Provo today. I probably should have been up there to cheer him on but I'm still recovering from my chick run to Idaho.

He ran the half marathon in 1:40.21 it was his first time running in a half marathon.
I put together a Silkie roost yesterday and added carpet to my nesting boxes. I'll have to take a picture of them roosting. They think they are all that and a bag of chips! As they say.

I'm going to add to Howard's pictures of his new Polish babies. The first is a top shot of the chick we think may be cuckoo. Am I dreaming?

this 2nd picture is of the black polish (who we think is a boy). I just noticed yesterday he doesn't have a toenail on one of his middle toes. It's kinda cute. :)
Wow, cuckoo Polish, that would be cool. One of Howard's looks like that too, are they related? Boy are they cute! Totally jealous

Thanks, Daloorashan. Those are beautiful chickens. Yours and mine do look very similar. Google tells me that the two breads look very similar too. Either way, I think she (still not completely sure she's a she either) is quite pretty.
Looks like a girl chicken to me...

Picture overload big time, because so many are wanting EE's, that can grow up to lay blue eggs. I have the Silkies in these pics, and, I didn't get a picture of the 1 out of 2 NH's I had, it is in the basket though, plus, I just put the liltte black Silkie in real quick for the group shot in the basket. Still working on that little one.

Here they are..you can see the more red one on the right, the NH. The ones with the spots are the EE
mixes. The blues and one black are the EE's that came from the olive eggs. Blue ones! :p

Not sure how this pic switched up first, but oh well, this one has a high vault too.

The Silkies, I didn't put the little black in. It's in a cup. :( Trying to figure out it's leg work. These came
from catdance. I am keeping two out of this bunch. If anyone wants to buy one, I am only asking 5 each
for any of the chicks, including these! The white one on the right, came from an egg that said PA. Thought
it meant paint? Hmmm, will have to ask her. You can see that the lavender had a real high vault.

A blue Silkie

Silkies

This one was the first one to hatch, and I was so excited, because I assumed it meant Paint. Looks white!
Silkie

This one of my favs! :))
another of my fav.

Ok, now for the EE's that came from the green eggs...

All blues, but one black, whatdaya know! They are very pretty. Why do the chicks always turn their
photo shoot?

Here's another shot

Now for the white EE's, that have the Lavender Ameraucana dad, and leghorn moms.

They are more white today than they looked yesterday, but still have a dark hew to them, with little
black spots on them. Group shot.

Another group shot..shows the spots. Also, looks like the Ameraucana puffy cheeks are going to
come out on these.

Oh, and pea combs

Another mix, they sure are strong little ones, and they seem to be more laid back than the
other leghorns I have hatched. Bigger too. Of course. :)
Pretty babies.

Spots here and there

These were so much easier to get to settle down for the pictures, they just stay put pretty much, and
stared at me. lol... pretty cute. I have to say, this is the most fun mix I have hatched. I want to keep
one and see about that egg color!
Remember, I have a NH if anyone is interested.
