Blujems, I saw your post on curtains and nesting boxes. I just bought some material and an ready to go but worry that the girls won't know what to do. Did yours figure it out?
I looked back in my records. I almost never hear the chicks peeping, but that could be because I have a bunch of rowdy kids.ok folks question? My eggs are due to hatch on Sunday, Can you tell me when I can expect pips and when I'll be able to hear the chicks in the eggs. I am so excited and hope at least some of them hatch
Question:
I am in process of building our first coop (5"L x 3'W x 3'T).. I building it all out of 2x4's.. but because of budget constraints, I am having to use OSB for the walls and roof. I am going to shingle the roof. But I am concerned about the walls. How long do you think I will be able to go without adding siding to the coop? Can i put a good coat of exterior paint on the outside walls? Do you think that will last?
I am open to suggestions. Or if anyone has some other materials they could maybe donate to me to cover the outside.. ( i know that is asking a lot.)
You have had a crazy day!!! Jeff told me that your truck was stolen... Sorry that happened, and thanks so much for still taking the time to do chick delivery=)Ugh, I am so stinking mad right now. I just found out that someone stole my truck while I was at work. I had lumber, a nail gun, and an air compressor loaded in the back, too. That stuff was for building another chick run! Some people make me so mad![]()
