Utah!

Gasp! Clay, how could you be such a heart breaker? You're just like any other ladies' man I know! *scold*

Sasha, we're in the same boat with the egg layers. I need to get a picture of my RIR's face and see if it still considered pink, or if it's red enough for laying. It's driving me crazy! I've got five girls that are in the 20-25 week range of age. One of them (EE) I'm not expecting to lay any time soon. But out of the GLW, the BSL, and the RIR, surely you'd think someone would be getting close by now. And that BO can't be too far behind

Alright, I'm really starting to get worried about my two black Amer's now. Everything on them says girl, except they have large legs, which is common with my EE girls. But something about them is setting off the 'boy' alarm in my head. Hmmm, couldn't be the way they had their hackles out and were chest bumping today, could it?

Pictures to come later.
Thanks for scolding Clay, Red! I just got back inside from sitting with the chickens for a while (and taking pictures of the teens and youngest Polish) Clay must have "heard" you because he came and perched on my arm and made happy noises. :) I love, love, love your Icelandics! Sooo pretty! And your Wellie is, too. I agree, the blue EE is girlie, Raven and Agnes' tails don't scream boy, and I think Raven's face looks girlie, but there's something about Agnes that makes me unsure of saying girl. Can't put my finger on it....and I am still learning. :) So don't let me make you more nervous! (As a side note, Agnes was my great-grandma's name, whose home I now own.)

It must have rained a TON while I was gone, my yard turned into a field :)
Such pretty girls, Whittni! Fields are AWESOME to have. :)

Thanks, Sasha! Yep, there's just something about Agnes that is setting me off here. Haven't figured it out yet.

My brother is the one who named Agnes

He got the idea from Despicable Me, but he says he also likes the name. I asked him to name her, since I know he likes having the chickens around, too. She'd better stay a girl!

I think you need to hold on to those black Ameraucanas..I learned my lesson, they can sometimes take their time before showing their true colors..sex. :)
I think you little white EE mix looks smaller than mine, and mine I am pretty sure is a girl. The blue, oh yeah. She's pretty. Love that dark blue.
The Icelandic is a pretty girl! Love the colors in her! Wow, who would have known. Those are like some EE's, they change a lot while growing. I can hardly wait to see her all grown up. She was mostly buff when little.

The Cuckoo Polish I'm pretty sure is a boy. Look at the big difference between his hate and the black polish's hat! They finally seem to be settling down and don't freak out and loose their marbles every time I put my hand in with them.

My little Wyandotte I hatched from one of the eggs BluJems gave me in May. :)

Zorro-who is available (free) to a good BYC home. Came to the difficult decision of which Polish roo to keep.

No photo shoot of mine is complete unless there's a picture of Clay.

Awww Clay is so cute! I am going to go out on a limb here and guess your cuckoo is a girl. Time will tell :) There is something about the way it looks...no wattles showing maybe....my Frisco had zero hat for quite awhile, seems like the wattles are telling me much more than the hats on the ones I have had so far :/ .

Red, do you see any pointy feathers on the saddle area yet at all? My black girl looks, walks, acts identical to my boy. Same long gangly legs...BUT the comb is more bumpy and a teensy bit redder on the boy, and there are those pointy feathers coming in on both boys. The black has not crowed yet, acts like it is trying. The blue is crowing a few times a day. The blue was chasing down one of my hens today also.....hmmmm...

Whit, those silkies are adorable!

PEOPLE OF BYC COME TO THE POULTRY SHOW and Bring your Chickadees!
...with peas and carrots, you can see me at the petting zoo telling people about chickens and all the animals. I'm in charge of it in sorts.

You can even meet my exhibition birds and my rabbit if you come for the shows on the first 2 days, I think I'm going to win a few prizes.

OH, cute chicken picture overload! They are so beautiful you guys.

Cynthia, congrats on that gorgeous blue egg.

I have three pullets that were hatched the first week of February and none of them are laying yet, though I think my BLRW will any day now. I think my cream legbar from Corvidae was also hatched in Feb. but no egg there either.

Sundance, just noticing..is that a Millie D'Uccle that one of your grand children is holding? Pretty orange colored one? Going to be very pretty bird.

Whitni, do you know how long I've been trying for a pretty partridge silkie or showgirl??? Yours are beautiful.

Sasha, you are making me happy that got polish eggs..can hardly wait to see what I get, because some could be barred, or is it called cuckoo? So far, 9 are viable. Crossing fingers.

Wendy Feb.? My Ameraucana that laid today turned 6 months on the 19th..she hatched the 19th of Jan. Long wait. So, soon for yours.
