Thanks for scolding Clay, Red! I just got back inside from sitting with the chickens for a while (and taking pictures of the teens and youngest Polish) Clay must have "heard" you because he came and perched on my arm and made happy noises.Gasp! Clay, how could you be such a heart breaker? You're just like any other ladies' man I know! *scold*
Sasha, we're in the same boat with the egg layers. I need to get a picture of my RIR's face and see if it still considered pink, or if it's red enough for laying. It's driving me crazy! I've got five girls that are in the 20-25 week range of age. One of them (EE) I'm not expecting to lay any time soon. But out of the GLW, the BSL, and the RIR, surely you'd think someone would be getting close by now. And that BO can't be too far behind![]()
Alright, I'm really starting to get worried about my two black Amer's now. Everything on them says girl, except they have large legs, which is common with my EE girls. But something about them is setting off the 'boy' alarm in my head. Hmmm, couldn't be the way they had their hackles out and were chest bumping today, could it?Pictures to come later.![]()

Such pretty girls, Whittni! Fields are AWESOME to have.
