Good new everyone. Jacques Leg is healed. the muscle is gone because hes been in a cast for so long. Since we're going to california he wants the leg to be supported so he put a cast back on it. Its a much lighter cast than hes been in. Its cute when he walks because he keeps looking at his leg because it feels different. The orthopedic surgeon says his legs has really good bone in it. He doesn't think it will break again but if it does theres enough bone to plate it. It was nice to meet up with Cynthia. She came to the vet clinic and picked up the the chick surprise I had for her. She was cute just loved all of them.

We have missed you! You have been one busy lady. Oh man I wish I could have your little Cochin roo. I love Cochins! Your little girl looks like a sweetheart and she is beautiful. The little Ameraucana's look so sweet. I can't believe you got two girls from that hatch. So when are you going to fire up your incubator?! So remember the little Polish I got from you? She laid her first egg yesterday and the whole neighborhood heard about it!

Bird guy I'll be looking forward to seeing you here in June or July! Well then and Chickenstock.

Sundance I'm so happy about your little dog! That is great news.

Sundance sure did have a surprise for me. Sweet as ever, and always thoughtful. She brought me two NN's. and..a leghorn. So far, that leghorn is really calm and sweet. Really surprised me, it's a bit older than the others, but it gets along with them, and is fine with me picking it up..another Miss Piggy??
Here are some pictures of those darling NN's. They are also sweet and calm. I can't believe that IFA had these cuties!!

Check out the eyeliner on this one. My DH pointed that out to me. Hope it stays. She
does have the chipmunk stripe still going down the back, and look at those feathers. It
will be fun to see how she turns out color wise.

The black baby, and look at the feathering on the necks! Love it. They even have a
good amount of muff going on. This one, when I looked closer at the wings, I could see
some barred look to the pin feathers. Oh, that would be great..a barred NN! We'll see.

Pretty feathering, and lots of fluff on that neck. )))))

They have caps....

Caps, and again, nice full feathering. Sundance did a great job on picking out some
cuties.

Sundance, that is such great news on your pup! What a great moment that must have been
when the dr. said it looked good! Lucky baby! It was good to see you as always. You always have that great smile going. You are very good with not only animals, but people. Wow, both, that says a lot about a person.

Mystery egg! I just went out and found .. another blue egg! Now, I don't have anyone that is supposed to lay a blue egg. I got my 4 eggs today..and cleaned the nest boxes out really good. Yesterday, I just picked up the poo, but today, I cleaned them out really well. I only have 4 layers right now..but someone, laid an egg since then! I have these possibilities, my leghorn, which would lay white. My Australorp looks way ready, but she should lay brown. And then there's the Swedish Flower Hen. She could be starting. But blue?? I had to go out the garbage to make sure that I had that blue egg in the bag I cleaned the nest boxes with. Sure enough, there was a blue egg. I compared them, the wheatens is not as dark a blue as this one. Now, I am confused! I would say, did she lay again, or maybe did the blue girl finally lay a blue instead of a browon, lol.. but, she had already laid, I know her eggs, and I always look at the brown eggs to see who laid, wasn't hard today, like I said, they all laid, now I had egg number 5. ?? Will be watching. I can't imagine the leghorn or the australorp doing this, so, not knowing the swedish that well, I'm guessing her first. Well Donna, if that's the case, you will be getting eggs soon. Remember what I told you, don't eat the eggs until the 25th. I just wormed all of my chickens. Withdraw time. Says it could be the 23, but I am going to wait two more days.

By the way, I am catching mice left and right with that mouse trap. I need another one. I keep moving it around to where I see mice.

That is the way those chickens keep us on our toes. It will be fun to see who did it! Any chance any of the three could be some sort of an EE (clean faced)?? That is just so funny!

Yup, sounds about right! Like how I never really cared if I got an OE, and then surprise! Olive eggs! And I've got someone out there laying the loveliest teal eggs. It could be my Leghorn-EE, but when she started laying, hers had more of a grayish-green tint to them

Oh! Oh! Oh! All three of my Icee pullets are laying! GAAAAH! It's so hard to wait to collect those eggs! Yes, lots of shouting! Sorry!

Ack! Girl Scout cookies! Are they still on sale? I had totally forgotten.

Cyndiloo, those Marans do look like boys, but they're sure strapping little boys. If I didn't already have plenty of roos around here, I'd take one of them off your hands for you. Fuzzy leg glee

Oh Cynthia, I forgot to say earlier that the Exchequer you gave me is a very friendly girl. Sometimes she will let you pick her up and carry her around, and she'll even chat with you! She's fun.
