Gary, are you still interested in any new Silkies..SG's? Or are you waiting now to see if your splash is a girl. I can't wait..tomorrow is day 20 in lock down. I hope they are doing well in there!
I LOVE HER! Congrats Shawn, that is fantastic, #8 for you!!! Woot!!!
Now that's a great hatchling!!! Happy dance!!
I have a young partridge roo i want to part with really bad, if you know anyone looking.I caught wind that there's some quality silkies in Utah! Anyone have any for sale? I'm in Boise ID, but would be willing to meet around the border (think it's about 3 hours drive?).
ETA: Should specify that I'm looking for pullets... splash, partridge, or porcelain.
The person desert is talking about is me

just so we clear things up I not once asked for my money back she just gave it to me and I never did ask her to come get them she did it all on her own. I hope om not coming off rude because I'm NOT a drama queen and stay away from those kind of people. I'm just uoset that she made me sound like this horrible person. I did nothing wrong it was on her own accord! I didn't ask for the money since she held them for a couple weeks for me which I very much appreciated! Just wanted to clear a few things up, couldn't bite my tongue any longer. Have a good night all.Well, then you better knock it off young man. I don't know both sides obviously but if she did the driving, be happy, don't complain, and it sounds like you two need to sit in time out until you can work this out. (can you tell I run a preschool??) KIDDING. Like Cynthia said, learning experience for all. Just a note though...I would not take chickens back either, no way. Not after they leave my place and are around other chickens. And would not be too keen on refunds either, especially if I held them and paid for extra feed, shoot, we don't make any money selling chickens anyway after the cost of electricity for incubating and feeding them for a week and five dollar two week old chick costs more than that to raise. Seriously, there is not much income in selling chicks, Desert I don't know how you do it. Ya I could see myself giving the money back to be nice as a seller--but if it were me buying the chicken I would never ask for a refund, sick, ugly, rooster, whatever the chicken turned out to be. Just to be courteousOnce you buy a chicken it is yours to figure out what to do with IMO. You kind of take that risk when you buy chicks. (They are not children or $1000 dogs, they are CHICKENS for heaven's sakes!) Even when I buy one from Cynthia, if I ask her to hold it, because of the distance and trying to get down that far south...I assume that if while she is holding it that it starts to look like a boy I am still obligated to pick it up and pay for it, because it is not her fault I waited and she was doing me a favor and should not be stuck with a rooster for trying to help me out, you know? That happened once, I promised her if she hung onto it I would buy it no matter if it started to look boyish. I feel like it is important to keep my word. Especially after putting her out already to feed it another week or two!
So Brian, I am not picking on you I promise!Just stating my view on selling chicks
Maybe that helps you see her point of view--maybe that makes you never want to get chicks from me lol! I am on my soapbox, i am a grandma and can't help it, it is my mode of operation these days to lecture young people that probably don't need it or want it haha
Desert, you sure you don't want to stick with horses and goats??![]()
