Anyone wanting a white leghorn roo? He is the cutest little guy with his little red comb but I'm sure he is a he. The other three are looking much more girlie so I'll have one or maybe two of them to part with too. I did loose one in the transition from inside to outside brooder. It was one that never really perked up. My daughter actually named it Sleepy when we got it because it was always sleepy. So, out of 5 I got me three girls not too shabby I must say.

Are the saddle feathers at the base of the tail coming in pointed instead of rounded? Hard to tell from the pics, I was thinking I could see some pointies in there.

I'm thinking it's a male also. Not sure thought. He is an Ameraucana or EE I'd better just say EE. Those people on the ameraucana thread would have my hide if I was wrong lol.

Are those the ones you got from me? Yaay, I was worried about you getting too many boys..the one I kept for myself is a girl also! That was a great hatch. And to think, most were girls. Wow. They are sweet birds.

Yes they are. I'm thinking the one that died was a female too. So that would have been 4/5 of the ones I had. He is just so cute. I wish he would stay little but I'm sure he won't want to do that.

Have to pipe in on this and say X2! My DH was really passive with his lawyer and was royally screwed. I have never seen such a bad custody/child support arrangement in my life! On top of that, his lawyer was recently arrested. Tell your BF to make sure his lawyer is fighting hard I. His best interest or find another lawyer. The lawyer works for him and he has the right to fire him.

I would love to find some other things to irritate her in a legal way. Not sure how much I want a giant metal chicken though. Maybe if it crowed?

Speckledhills was saying on the Idaho thread that an option was Frontline flea and tick for dogs..that she put it on her chickens and they are bug free. Seriously contemplating, bathing and dipping 60 chickens is a crazy chore. A few drops on the chickens skin repelling and killing lice and mites for a month or more? Priceless. I found some generic for cheap on ebay. Someone posted that you can get the bigger packs for bigger dogs, it is just more in the tube but not more concentrated, so the price per ml is way cheaper, and does way more chickens. Hmmmmm....I have been busy googling for info, it is looking better and better! **Red, send me that screen name too..! I don't need to deal with anymore poopheads this year.

I had heard of hens/pullets taking the role of the rooster before but now I have confirmation! My Houdan crows...and has laid eggs! She has also flogged the snot out of me. Well...she must have ****** someone off because I got home yesterday and she had blood all over her head and face! I have her in isolation but does anyone know if I can get blu-kote at either Cal ranch or IFA?

Sorry to hear about your houdan! The AC lady said that they were dealing with a crowing hen at the time they were forcing me to get rid of my boys...

Hey everyone I talked to Diana (sundance) and she wanted me to let you all know that she is back in the hospital with pneumonia and hasn't been feeling so hot since her last vacation. I went to go see her for a surprise vist and she wasn't home. I asked to go vist her but she had just gotten a shot that was going to make her crash. Poor Diana! She asked me to let everyone know what's going on because she can't get on byc. Sending love and prayers her way.
