Utah!

Welcome home Diana! Take care! No more working so hard! Glad to hear that the hawk hasn't shown up again. I have one that likes to hang out in the neighbors tree once in a while. I find myself looking up there every morning to make sure it isn't there. Shows up better now that the leaves are gone from the tree. :p
How many Seramas do you have now? I have decided that they are just too sweet to ignore.

I have 5, 4 frizzled hens and one smooth rooster. I love them to death. Red is going to baby sit them while I am gone

I decided to give my broody hen some eggs. I know its late in the year but she has been broody for 2 months! I have a neighbor that lives around the block from me and raises chickens. I hear her rooster every morning as it joins in the singing with my roosters. I stopped at her house and asked if i could trade her some eggs. She has mostly hatchery GSL hens and 1 Maran. Her rooster is a GSL. I know they will be mutts but i just had to show this egg. I see all your post of the chocolate eggs and am so jealous. Wish me luck with hatching.

Awww! No fair. I have yet to get a double yolker from any of my girls. Come on, girls - two years! Eesh (here I am wishing that on one of my poor girls' bums)

Tellorton, I asked about the feathers because I was going to see if I could take some of them off your hands :D  I collect feathers, and I can use them for jewelry.
[/quoteI oh sorry if I go out again I can save them for you. We just dump them with the insides in the ditch and the coons just pick through them

That's a nice color all right. Good luck! You will get some good egg layers from these mixes.

Glad you're home, Sundance. Look after yourself. Are you planning a fun visit somewhere?

MadChicken, good luck with your hatch.

Gone, now where ya goin?

My husband and I are taking our RV and leaving for phoenix mid December. My Dr thinks getting me out of cold will benefit my lungs. I have a house sitter for the big chickens but don't trust them with my Seramas so Red is going to tend for me. My son lives in Gilbert has a beautiful million dollar home and pool in a gated community. We will be staying about 6 miles away so I can see my grandkids, He owns a large solar company in AZ and his pool is heated to 95 degrees by sollar in the winter. Its lower so I can do with less oxygen and swim without oxygen. Should help me a lot

Sundance, I'm so glad you're home!

I've been worried about you. I'm glad that you'll be in a warmer climate over the winter, too. That makes me feel better.

Tellorton, if it's not too much trouble and you guys do get more pheasants (or any game bird) I'd be happy to drive down and take the feathers off your hands for you. I'd like to come and get a couple of bales of straw, anyway, if your dad still has some available.

Madchicken, that is a gorgeous egg!

So - my book came today! Eeeee! I need to tweak the cover a bit, but other than that, I think it turned out very well. Sorry just have to share - I'm so excited it came
