Karen, the hokey Pokey is so cute! I tend to think it is not that one....I have quite a few of them that are younger than yours and the boys all have gotten orange flecks on the shoulders and if they are not bearded like yours they have red wattles showing/starting...but it is definitely possible! I will have to get a pic of the one boy I still have here for you so you can see what I mean.
Regarding the mystery roo---look at the saddle feathers on the Red/orange NN, I can't see them in the pic--are there pointy feathers coming in at all? At the base of the tail at the end of her/his back? Those pointy feathers are usually the easiest way to tell for me. Of all the regular feathered birds I really don't see any others that look boyish...the Houdan is definitely a girl...silkies are so hard to tell, the darker one looks like it might be getting tiny streamers on its head but they are so tiny, it could just be damp feathers.
