Yes, wishing I would have hatched more, I had really good response for Birdguy's SBEL chicks. I have another batch hatching next week from DMRippy but they are all spoken for, better be a good hatch! ( Ace and Kimmy I have you guys down for the first pics )

Silly, how many cookie booths are you doing? We ordered enough to do ONE cookie booth. I hate them. HATE THEM. Not as much as door to door strangers though...

I'm hatching lots of chicks this spring, but I'm not planning on keeping any. I want to move this spring/summer, and I'm already sweating timing on that, and where the chickens will live when we have the transition period. I may be begging you guys to help me foster them. Plus, odds are good that wherever I move, I can't have 20+ chickens, and my rooster most likely will have to live elsewhere. That breaks my heart. I LOVE having hatching eggs around. I really need to hear if those rooster collars work, because if they do, I'm definitely keeping him.

Whoa, hold on there---chicks do NOT count. Only hens. So if yours are all pullets you technically have Zero chickens, which means you need 9 chicks....

I have been meaning to tell you, the mixed chick I hatched from you is getting black feathers with white lacing. Does that mean Hamburg or Polish? And a really tight Rose comb. I think he is a he though. Long legs and a precarious disposition...

On Wendy I wish I could say it was only one booth. I just had bling out our booth with 17 girls, all of them Daisys/Brownies to the exception to my 2 Juniors and 1 Cadette. So tons of 5-7 year old craziness from 10-2:30pm. We screen printed T-Shirts and made banners, posters, signs, everything you can think under the sun for our booths. We ordered 1200 boxes for booth sales. Yes, I want to cry. Right now we have 4 Council Booths, and then 3 of at our own location. Cookie kickoff weekend, we are actually doing 2 booths at the same time. One at our Gas Station location, and then either at Wal-Mart or Macey's Grocery store. I'm hoping we sell at least 900 plus the first weekend, and then just have to do a few nights to finish them up. So if anyone wants to buy some girl scout cookies, I have plenty to go around. With that said, I have to figure out how to pick up 336 cases of cookies on Monday. I want to cry right now, plus my 5 year old sold 512 boxes pre-sale, and I have no idea how we are going to deliver all of them. Yuck! I hope you find a house for all your chickens including your rooster. That would be so sad to have to live him behind. I want to move so bad, somewhere I can have a billion chickens and a rooster. Well not a billion, but you get what I mean.

As far as limit. I have 12 outside right now, and I think I can only have 10-12. But I really don't think the 4 Bantams shouldn't count, they really aren't much of a chicken, so I only have 8 LF. And I don't think they are all laying. HeHe. I give my neighbor behind me eggs, dozen a week, so I keep her happy, she would be the only one that would complain about them being back there.

So Wendy I guess I will just have to buy a bunch of eggs from you just to hatch out for fun if you have to get rid of your rooster. I love your FBCM, I love the 2 I have, and said to think I might not be able to get a few new ones next year since they will be 2 next year. I might just have to get me my replacement early. But I for sure need an Olive Egger from you! So for sure want to buy some Olive Eggers from you in March.

Silly, I thought we weren't allowed to hold the booths until at least the 14th or so? Your plan sounds AWFUL. Sorry, but it does. LOL We bought *maybe* 150 for the booth. We plan to do a single 2 hour booth. I have made adorable cookie costumes for two of the girls. You definitely get some olive eggs in march.

Lisa, I'm guessing that chick is a hamburg- black and white is my hamburg's colors. My polish is a golden laced. Too bad that it's a boy.

I have one Maran egg in my bator now. Bought different breed eggs from a gal. OE's, BO's, Marans, but only got one, which I don't mind, because I don't care for them. Love the egg color, but I don't care for the chicken. If it hatches out a girl, do you want it? It will go into lock down on the 9th.

When are these girl scout cookies supposed to come out..I haven't seen any yet. yumm..
